Dr. Kerri Krauss Mihalik, Ph.D., BCBA
Dr. Mihalik, PhD, BCBA is the proud Founder and Director of New Horizons Therapy and has worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis for over 20 years. Dr. Mihalik began her career as an animal trainer at Sea World Orlando, learning and applying the principles of operant conditioning. For over 15 years she has worked with individuals with autism and related disabilities in school, home, clinic, and group settings. She received a masters degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her interest in educating staff to effectively implement behavior plans and programs along with increasing productivity within inter-disciplinary teams led her to pursue her doctorate in Business Psychology with an emphasis in Consulting from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has presented at both state and national conferences and has worked as an adjunct professor teaching the next generation of behavior analysts. She is a member of Florida's Association for Behavior Analysis, South Carolina's Association for Behavior Analysis, and Applied Behavior Analysis International. Dr. Mihalik is honored to be back in her native state, working with the community she is so passionate about.

Senior Consultants

Mary Richardson, MS, BCBA
Senior Consultant: Mary Richardson, MS, BCBA was born in Charleston, SC. She received her Bachelors in Psychology from the University of South Carolina. She then received her Masters in Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has been working in Applied Behavior Analysis since 2012. She has worked with New Horizons Therapy since 2015. She got her BCaBA in 2016 and became a BCBA in 2018. Mary has experience in areas such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has worked with children and adults with Autism and similar disabilities in settings such as clinic, home, school, and community. She has worked in Texas, Georgia, and most recently Colorado overseeing ABA services in Colorado Springs.

Consultants

Nicole Divicenzo, M.S., BCBA
Consultant Nicole Divincenzo lived in Deland, Florida before moving to Charleston, SC for college. She graduated the College of Charleston with a B.A. in Psychology. Nicole started working as a line therapist at New Horizons in the spring of 2017 where she found her passion for ABA and working with children with ASD. She decided to continue her education at FIT, and became a BCaBA in 2019. Nicole looks forward to starting her masters degree.
Emily Robes
Emily Robes dedicated 20 years to the field of special education before pursuing a career in the field of ABA. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Ohio University and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, where she taught special education for 6 years. She moved to Broward County, Florida where she spent another 14 years in the field of special education. There she earned her certificate in Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology. She relocated to Charleston in August 2021 to pursue her dream of becoming a BCBA.
Easton Veremis, M.S., BCBA
Consultant Easton Veremis, BCaBA grew up in Columbus, Ohio and moved to South Carolina to attend College of Charleston in 2012. Upon graduating with a bachelor of science degree, she began working as an RBT where she discovered her passion for behavior analysis. She continued her education at Florida Institute of Technology and became board certified as a BCaBA in 2019. Easton enjoys problem solving alongside her families and teaching functional skills.
Maddi Sloan, MED, BCBA
Consultant Maddi Sloan, BCBA, M.Ed. has been working at NHT since 2019. Originally from California, Maddi attended the College of Charleston to study Psychology and Theatre. After falling in love with ABA, she earned her Masters in Special Education at Penn State. Her further goals include combining her passions into a theatre program for kids with disabilities.

Stacy Clawson, RBT
Stacy Clawson was born and raised in Rome, NY. She graduated from Holland Patent High School in 2006. After graduating, she was set on helping others in need. She started that path working as a teacher's assistant at a daycare center. Then from 2007-2015 she became a residence counselor at Upstate Cerebral Palsy, assisting and supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities. Stacy moved to Charleston in 2015, and became a RBT at New Horizons Therapy, LLC in 2016. She has found her passion in Applied Behavior Analysis and continues to master her skills and knowledge in order to better help clients and their families.
Monica Keo, RBT
Monica Keo, RBT, was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. Upon moving to Charleston in 2018 and starting at NHT, Monica discovered her passion for ABA. She became a RBT in September of 2019. Monica is a proud mother who loves working with children and is looking forward to continuing to grow professionally.
Emily Mintz, RBT
Emily Mintz, RBT is from Columbia, SC. Emily graduated from Dreher High School and then began nursing school. Through nursing school, she knew she wanted to help others but was not feeling satisfied. Emily found her niche with kids that have special needs and made the switch to Psychology. In the summer of 2019, she moved and started as a therapist at New Horizons.

Amber Greene
Amber born and raised in Charleston, SC . She graduated from Lander University in 2021 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a Minor in Child and Family Studies. It was through her minor that she developed a passion for helping families navigate through everyday life. Amber went on to teach preschool for two years which led to a passion of helping children with developmental delays . She graduated from Liberty University in 2023 with a Masters in Elementary Education Curriculum and Training. Amber currently attends Florida Institute of Technology online BCBA certificate program. She truly enjoys being able to come to work everyday knowing she's making a difference.
Georgia Svrcek
Georgia Svrcek was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and raised in Charlotte, NC. After living in Columbia, SC throughout high school Georgia decided to move to Charleston and attend The College of Charleston. This year Georgia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and is currently earning her Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis to become a BCBA. She has fallen in love with ABA and mentoring her clients continue to drive her passion each and every day..
Regan Pelicano, RBT
Regan Pelicano, RBT is originally from Greenville, SC. She earned her Bachelor of the Arts in Theatre at The College of Charleston in 2019. Currently she is pursuing her Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis at Florida Institute of Technology to become a BCBA. Regan loves her NHT family and is so grateful to be involved in something so meaningful everyday.
Rachel Dawson, RBT
Rachel Dawson grew up in Fort Mill, South Carolina. She graduated from College of Charleston in 2020 with a degree in biology and a minor in psychology. Her minor led her to work in ABA where she took a job in San Diego, CA. She worked for two years as a behavioral therapist in home settings and found a deeper passion for helping children and families. Wanting to be closer to home she moved back to Charleston, South Carolina and began working toward her master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis through Ball State University. She loves to do anything outside including surfing, running, and hiking.
Kermit T. Davis Jr.
Kermit T. Davis Jr, was born in Bronx, New York. He moved to Summerville, SC at a young age and has always had a passion for children. He is a graduate of Benedict College where he received a Bachelors Degree in Child and Family Development in 2012. Kermit has worked in child care settings and a mental health facility working as both a tech and a case manager. In 2019, Kermit began working with New Horizons Therapy as a Registered Behavior Technician, truly finding his passion. This led to Kermit enrolling in a Masters Program for Applied Behavior Analysis at Capella University. He will finish his program in summer of 2022 and look to sit for his BCBA exam. Kermit is a loving husband, and a proud father to 4 amazing children.
Attallah Bright
Attallah Bright, was born and raised in Charleston, SC. She graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She began working as a Registered Behavior Technician in 2019 where she found a love for ABA. As of fall 2021 she continues her education at Florida Institute of Technology to pursue her Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Isabella Sodano, RBT
Isabella Sodano was born and raised in Mahwah, NJ. Isabella decided to make the trek down south in 2016 to attend the University of South Carolina in Columbia. In 2020, Isabella earned her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Social Work. Always having a passion for children, Isabella started at NHT last year, and has quickly found her lifelong passion in ABA. Isabella plans to earn her Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis in the fall of 2023 to become a BCBA. Isabella is so grateful to have met so many amazing mentors at NHT who push her to become better everyday.
Courtney McClure, RBT
Courtney McClure was born in Maryland, but moved to Charleston to attend the College of Charleston. After taking many psychology courses, she found she was most interested in her Conditioning and Learning course. This led to a passion for behavior analysis! She will graduate in 2023 with her undergraduate degree and move on to graduate school to become a BCBA. Her clients at New Horizons fill her cup everyday and she couldn’t be more thankful!
